John Simmons MBE

John has worked extensively in complex environments, especially those undergoing recovery from conflict or natural disasters and is one of Chadshunt’s founders. His specific skills involve post conflict reconstruction and development projects, risk management and security, complex emergency and crisis response. He has also worked extensively in the field of corporate social responsibility and licence to operate.

Work for the United Nations, UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office, UK's Department for International Development as well as the UK Cabinet Office sponsored Stabilisation Unit, has been interspersed with commercial projects in international shipping, construction and oil and gas industries.

John has worked for extended periods in some of the world's more difficult environments, including Afghanistan, Nepal, Iraq, Nigeria, and Sudan, as well as undertaking consultancies in Belize, Ghana, Scandinavia, and the United States.

Crispin Scott

Prior to forming Chadshunt, Crispin built a career in business development and project management within the electronics, technology and logistics sectors. He has held a range of senior posts in both public and private sectors, latterly as a European Regional Director for a Middle East based consulting and business services Group. He has significant international experience, specifically within Africa and the Gulf region.

Through experience in emerging economies he has developed an close interest in entrepreneurship and sustainable enterprise, especially within post-conflict environments.

Crispin holds an MBA from Exeter University School of Business and Economics, and has been a visiting lecturer at Warwick Business School, Mercia Institute for Enterprise, and the UK Defence Academy. He is a member UK's Institute of Directors.

Bjørna Cosséry

A trained psychologist, Bjørna specialises in all aspects of Human Resources management, with a particular focus upon Recruitment and Team Development. Her initial experiences, gained whilst working in research within the pharmaceutical industry in Paris, stimulated an enduring interest in managing people, and the critical processes and structures that underpin hi-impact teams.

Over 20 years experience of living and working internationally, across Europe and in the USA, has resulted in a specific expertise in inter-disciplinary working, especially in the way multi-cultural teams interact, and her passion for ensuring ‘the right job for the right person’.

Comfortable working at all levels, Bjørna is fluent in English, French, Dutch and speaks German to an intermediate standard. She is a member of the Dutch Association for Psychology (NIP) and the European Mentoring and Coaching Association (EMCC).

Mohamed Abbas

Mohamed Abbas started his career in Communications and IT commerce in Cairo and Riyadh with Computek, Cisco and Microsoft.

Over much of the last 11 years he worked with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), helping design and establish an IT expert exchange network for users throughout the developing world. Most recently he worked for World Bank Group's International Finance Corporation (IFC) as Regional Information Officer, Middle East and Northern Africa, a role involving liaison at senior governmental across 13 countries, with extended missions into Ghana, Nigeria and Burkina Faso. This role also took him to Central Asia, including Pakistan.

Mohamed holds a BSc in Engineering and Masters degree in Computer Science and Communications. He brings to the Company a wealth of experience in corporate governance, IT and project management, together with a detailed knowledge of the Middle East and Northern Africa.

David Robinson

David Robinson started his career as a design engineer in the oil industry and after a period as Corporate Audit Manager of British Aerospace used his experience of large capital projects and business training to start a career as a management consultant.

David now has over 20 years experience in consultancy, specialising in business analysis and forecasting. His industry experience includes aviation, the oil industry, manufacturing, health, pharmaceutical and voluntary sectors both in the UK and overseas.

David also has experience of disaster recovery planning in countries as far afield as Nepal, Belize and Ghana, often Ministerial level. He has also helped to deliver behavioural safety programmes.

He is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and has experience in planning and administering expeditions. He flies commercially as a part time pilot and has an experiential understanding of the aviation business.

Suganthan Allotey

FCCA, CA(GH)

A variety of senior financial roles with Barclays Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, Ghana National Petroleum Corporation and British American Tobacco, led to Suganthan developing his passion for stimulating world-class business practice, in particular running programmes on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) to support the adoption and embedding of these standards in Ghana and West Africa.

A former President of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) in Ghana, he is currently the Chairman of the Board of Directors for Aviation Alliance (GSA for Delta Airlines in Ghana) and is a Director of one of Ghana’s leading business training and consulting companies based in Accra.

Suganthan holds an MBA from Edinburgh Business School in the UK, is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), and is a Member of the Institute of Directors (Ghana) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants (Ghana).

Nick Horne

After a first career in management consultancy, specialising in telecommunications, Nick has for the past six years worked in relief, development, governance and political affairs in countries affected by conflict, including Iraq, Afghanistan during the 2009 Presidential Elections and Sudan where he is currently on assignment.

Nick's primary skills lie in effective political and conflict analysis, coupled with an understanding of the factors that underpin good governance. In each of the countries within which he has worked, usually through detailed discussions with stakeholders from all sides, he has developed a genuine understanding of what factors drive conflict. He is a highly motivated consultant, able to design and implement measures and processes that reduce tension, resolve conflict and enable lasting change.

He has worked for the UK's Department for International Development and various parts of the United Nations, including OCHA and DPKO.

Nick holds a Bachelors Degree in Engineering from the University of Durham and a Masters in International Public Policy from Johns Hopkins SAIS.
